Twenty-five Years Later

“One generation shall commend your works to another and shall declare your mighty acts.” Psalm 145:4

It’s hard to believe the 25th anniversary of 9-11 is coming up. Just a reminder, the third book in my “Awakening” trilogy, SPARROWS, takes place in 2001, the second half of the book in New York City, September 2001. The narratives of the events of that fateful Tuesday are from the experiences of multiple characters, some taken from the actual experiences of people I interviewed in writing the book. One of my goals in writing it was to inspire the readers to consider the Big Picture, realizing that everyone involved was an image-bearer of God and that we live in a fallen world, and to pray accordingly. The book includes a prayer for the War on Terror, the one I’ve been praying daily since 2005.

If you have been interested in reading SPARROWS or listening to the audiobook, or know someone who would be interested, this might be a great time to order a copy, or multiple copies for a book discussion group. (Available on Amazon/Audible and Barnes and Noble)

Prayer: Father in heaven, as we remember all those who have given their lives for our freedom and our protection, may we never take for granted the blessings we enjoy. As we contemplate their sacrifices, show us what we can do to make this world a place where future generations will have the opportunity to hear the gospel and receive the salvation You offer, in Your name and for Your glory, amen.
