A Gift for My Readers (Again)

Two years ago, I posted a section of my second novel, Vision, in bite-sized pieces, because it comprises a Christmas Story, originally entitled “Mr. Walker’s Miracle.” Since it’s been a busy time, since I’ve been sick, and since I have been (allegedly) on a sabbatical of sorts, I did not have the foresight to post it again one part at a time. I do feel it’s well worth sharing again, though, for those who enjoyed it before and might want to share it with your families, as well as my new readers. For the audio-types, there’s some music included (from Handel’s Messiah). (If you’re into audiobooks, Vision in its entirety also comes in audiobook form and is available from Audible. – Author and narrator: Ann Aschauer)

So, if (unlike yours truly) you have everything done for tomorrow and want to relax with a Christmas story with “divine perspective,” grab a cup of Christmas tea, sit back, and enjoy the tale of Mr. Walker’s miracle:

Mr. Walker’s Miracle (A Christmas Story) Part 2

Mr. Walker’s Miracle (A Christmas Story) Part 3

Mr. Walker’s Miracle, a Christmas Story, Part 5

Mr. Walker’s Miracle (A Christmas Story) Part 6

Mr. Walker’s Miracle (A Christmas Story) Final Chapter and Epilogue

Blessings to you all,

Annie

  1. Yay, I’m going to do just that! Thank you, Annie. I’ll love reading this again. ❤️ I’m going to pull your book off the shelf. The way my head is lately, it could feel like the first time I’ve read it. 😄Or like all brilliantly written words, every time you read them you discover new things, deeper meaning and it feels brand new. ❤️
I thought of you as I wrote my first two part story. Each part was still long but I had trouble trying to manage three posts…actually now, I feel a new longer work developing, so that’s unexpected and fun. ❤️
As I’ve said before, I’m glad we’re in this together. Sending love, and Merry Christmas to you and your family! ❤️🎄🙏

  2. I’m glad, too, Deb. Yes, some of our pieces take on a life of their own and grow beyond what we expect.

I watched a Christmas movie today that I think you’d like – “The Man Who Invented Christmas.” It’s about how Charles Dickens came to write “A Christmas Carol.” As a fellow writer, I think you’ll like the relationship he has with his growing cast of characters.😏

    Have a wonderful Christmas. 😊🎄🎁

  3. Thank you, Annie, for the gift of your Christmas Story. I thoroughly enjoyed this page turner. My church recently hosted Handel’s Messiah, which is always so beautifully performed, so the inclusion of certain songs from it helped your story come to life for me. The last soloist who sung “The Trumpet Shall Sound” was awesome to watch sing with such passion. I loved how he enunciated “incor-r-r-ruptible!” 🙂

    1. Aw, Nancy, that blessed me so much!

As you may know, I’ve recorded my trilogy, and all three books (Counselor, Vision, and Sparrows) are available on Audible. Vision has this story, complete with a soundtrack! It was challenging, but it was so worth it to me have my readers (listeners) hear the story the way I first heard it when I was inspired to write it.

I hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas.
